Rubin Cohen started with a simple idea: After many years in foodservice sales, he had seen the need develop for high quality specialty products that could be delivered directly from the manufacturer to the end user. With this ideal, he felt that he could offer outstanding support for his products, and be a valuable resource to his customers. To accomplish his dreams, he and his wife Elaine founded RC Fine Foods in 1972. Like many entrepreneurial companies, RC was started in the Cohen family home, with Rubin handling the products from creation to sales, and Elaine taking care of operations. As their business grew, so did their need for space. The company moved and expanded their operations in several different locations and built a facility designed to handle their operations in 1995. This 48,000+ square foot USDA-inspected manufacturing and distribution facility in Hillsborough, NJ is now the headquarters for RC Fine Foods.
 
RC remains a family owned business, with the Cohen’s children, Susan Goldman, Barbara Sher, and Gary Cohen, all being very active in the business. In addition to being a family run business, RC is also certified by the State of New Jersey as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Throughout our history, RC has grown to ship products from coast to coast, and built a reputation in the industry for consistently supplying our customers with the excellent quality they expect at an affordable cost. With our direct sales support and one case minimum order, RC can service any commercial account from the smallest deli to the largest cafeteria, from the white tablecloth restaurant to the food manufacturer.
